Vieques Tours

Vieques Paddleboarding specializes in true ecological ocean adventures. Our Vieques tours are interpretative tours where you learn more about the flora, fauna, history and local folklore of our island. We promote the conservation of Vieques’ natural resources, and we travel in small groups for a more genuine experience.

Bay Paddle & Snorkel Trip – All levels (3 hours)

Our most popular tour: This trip includes a short paddleboarding lesson or refresher, paddling in a red mangrove forest inside a protected bay, and paddleboarding out of the bay to a beach where we leave the boards to go snorkeling at a coral reef. It is a very scenic area. The reef is vibrant with different coral species, lobsters, schools of fish and regular visitors like sea turtles, spotted eagle rays and others. Our guides will guide you through the reef.

Ocean Paddle & Snorkel Expedition – Intermediate/Advanced (4 hours)

Our downwind adventure includes paddling about 4 miles of the Vieques coast line, going snorkeling at an off-shore reef (where we anchor our boards) and visiting a mangrove forest. Our downwind trips are designed for experienced paddleboarders or those who have paddled just a couple of times, but are physically fit. It is designed as an expedition because conditions make every trip different, and it is customized along the way.
Being an open water trip it is a bit more challenging than our 3 hour Bay Paddle Trip, but for this reason it is also a very unique experience.

Paddleboarding Tour – All levels (2 hours)

Paddle a beautiful scenic area:
Our 2 hour paddleboarding trip is designed for those who only want to paddleboard. Enjoy a trip in calm waters and off the beaten path. This trip includes a short paddleboarding lesson or refresher, paddling the red mangrove forest, then venturing out of the bay to the ocean and a beach stop.

Hike & Snorkel Tour – All levels (2 hours)

Enjoy an interpretative short hike and snorkel with our guides who are highly educated in the history, flora and marine life of Vieques. If you are a first time snorkeler, our guides will teach you how to feel relaxed and safe.

Paddleboarding Kids

Kids usually love paddleboarding. Paddling by themselves or ridding along on their parents’ board. Usually kids 11 and over can paddle their own boards. Kids under 11 can ride along with an adult for $35. Snorkeling gear included.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel or change your booked reservation up to 48 hours before your scheduled tour. If you cancel within less than 48 hours before your scheduled tour or fail to show up at the meeting place in a timely manner, we will charge your card for the full price of the reservation or for the price for the amount of participants that cancel or fail to show up to the booked tour.  Since the area we start from is inside of the Vieques National Refuge and is remote, we have to transport all the necessary equipment including the boards.  Please call us as soon as you know you will not be able to make it to your scheduled tour, or if you will be delayed for any reason.
